Join University of Minnesota Extension, the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, and other partners to learn more about how to predict, collect, and sell tree seeds. These are interactive, in-person workshops. By the end of a workshop, you will be able to:
Identify a couple of key tree species and their ripe seeds.
Confidently collect high-quality tree seed.
Understand how to process seeds to sell to the state nursery or other vendors.
These workshops are free. Please fill out the registration form for the event you would like to attend so we can contact you with more information.
When/ Where: Multiple locations through early fall. Pick an event that works best for you!
Audience: Tree and woodland stewards in any capacity.
Accessibility: These workshops are outdoors. Each location has slightly different amenities. We will spend about two and a half hours walking and standing on paved and unpaved trails. You will receive more detailed information about your event(s) after completing registration.
